Indigo corduroy, where light reveals its luster.
This is a setup outer made from thick-wale (9W) corduroy, dyed with indigo, a material that captivated a denim sommelier. Depending on how the light hits it, the color shifts from deep indigo to a vibrant luster, allowing you to enjoy a different appearance from various angles. The silhouette is a standard cut suitable for both on and off-duty wear, with the thick wales emphasizing vertical lines to create a beautiful silhouette. The material is 100% cotton. Each piece is tailored at a sewing workshop in Motosu City, Gifu Prefecture.
For work, the luster of the corduroy creates a "distinctive" elegance, and on holidays, it's relaxing yet stylish as a set-up. When paired with pants from the same series, it offers a versatility that works for both formal and casual occasions. It can be machine washed at home on a delicate cycle, so you don't have the hassle of special corduroy care (please wash separately from other items).
It's not overly casual or childish. It's not heavy or bulky, so it won't strain your shoulders. There's no stress of it becoming outdated in a few years due to trendy silhouettes. And you won't worry about high dry-cleaning costs making it difficult to wear casually.
Corduroy, which changes its expression with light and shadow, is a material that reflects adult composure. Pair it with pants of the same fabric to make it your go-to outerwear for both on and off-duty occasions. We are committed to crafting each garment, sewn by Japanese artisans, with the intention that you will cherish it for a long time.

Sewn at a workshop in Motosu City, Gifu Prefecture. Artisans use JUKI industrial sewing machines to tailor each piece, carefully aligning the wale direction and stitching of the thick corduroy. Because it's a basic jacket style, we don't compromise on details like shoulder fit, collar roll, or button spacing.
