This service is not accepted at Japan Made-ya, but through Kyoto Montsuki's page.

It would be a pain to have to manage both the Japan Made-ya website and Kyoto Montsuki's website,
so we decided it would be better to have them do it directly in order to centralize inventory management.
I have already signed a contract, so I hope you can rest assured!
We have had several inquiries about this service.
The first one is,
"Should I leave the button undone?"
There is an option to unbutton it,
but generally speaking there is no need to do so!
For example, when should you remove it?
I think sometimes coats and knitwear have pretty big buttons.
I think you should remove those big buttons.
When I make clothes,
I feel that any button over 20mm is too big, so as a rule of thumb,
I think it might be best to remove any button over 15mm.
Small buttons on shirts, etc. About 10mm or 11mm in size If they are less than 15mm, they won't come off There's no problem if you don't add the removal option.
If you are really worried and want to remove it,
I think it would be a good idea to add the option to remove it.
The second question is, "How much shrinkage does it cause when dyed?"
As for shrinkage,
you can basically assume that there is none!
It's not dyed in its new state, it's already been washed at home and has shrunk, so it won't shrink any more.
Clothes don't shrink that much after they've been washed 2 or 3 times.
For example, just because you wash a size L garment five times doesn't mean it has become a size S, right?
It shrinks especially the first time, but stops shrinking by the second or third time.
That's why parkas and T-shirts are washed.
The first time it shrinks by 2 or 3 cm, I do it first and then finish it off.
Even so, after washing, it may shrink by 0.5cm or 1cm, but it won't shrink by 5cm or 6cm from that.
We dye it black, and do it at a constant temperature,
like 70 or 80 degrees, but we don't use heat to dry it,
so there's no shrinkage.
If you finish drying it at a high temperature using gas or something, it will shrink.
It doesn't shrink when it gets wet,
it shrinks when it dries.
In other words, when it's wet it stretches.
Have you ever had your clothes stretch out when you hung them on a hanger during laundry?
It stretches easily when wet When you dry it, it shrinks when you apply heat.
So,
I think it would be good if you could think of it that way!
I also observed the process, and they don't dry it with hot gas, so there's no shrinkage.
I'm actually wearing a size M for the black-dyed hoodie.
I'm wearing a size M and it fits like this, so it hasn't shrunk at all.
As stated, artificial chemical fibers such as polyester and nylon cannot be dyed.
If you're not sure about anything else,
try searching for something like "chemical fiber types" and you'll see results.
Check there to see if it applies to you!
If the relevant item is listed on the washing instructions, you can rest assured that it will not stain Thank you in advance!
